Greenville Rotary East

Had a wonderful time talking with all the folks from the Greenville East Rotary on Monday. What a great, hard-working, generous group of folks. Not my usual crowd which is more of the elementary school speed, but it was a lot of fun to spend time with them.

I got to go back to my old school this week. I taught at Tanglewood for 22 years and it was so great to go back and visit with the kids in the after-school program and catch up with my teaching buds. The kids and teachers had some very good questions.

Boulder Bluff Elem!

Visited Boulder Bluff Elementary in Goose Creek, SC on Tuesday morning. Nice school. The kids were so great. We were also celebrating the birthday of Dr. Seuss. What fun!

Six Mile Elem.

Six Mile Elementary is one of the best kept secrets in the state. What a wonderful school. We had tons of fun at family reading night and almost everybody at the school looked like a pirate.

ThatAll I can say is that the South Carolina  Children’s Theatre did an amazing job with Vogt and Friedman’s adaptation. What a wonderful show! The playwrights stayed true to the storyline but made the songs so funny that I couldn’t stop laughing. Thanks everybody.  That’s me in the middle with the whole crew!

I had a wonderful time at Carver in Florence, SC last week. Just yesterday I got a packet of letters from the kids there and had so much fun reading them. Great pictures too.

Hey! I had a blast at Aiken Elementary today. The kids all had pirate poems to recite for me and I got the most wonderful Pirate alphabet book from Mrs. Sirman’s class. What fun!
